Winston's was founded in 1986 and has continued to provide great live music for over 20 years. We have a great variety of musical genres, featuring rock, reggae, jam bands, world beat, bluegrass, Latin, jazz, soul, punk, hip-hop, experimental, fusion, and everything in between.
Throughout the years Winston's has maintained its status as one of San Diego's top clubs where music fans can see a big name concert in one of the most intimate venues in California. Winston's has hosted big shows with bands such as Steel Pulse, Slightly Stoopid, Melvin Seals & Jerry Garcia Band, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Mikey Dread, Los Lonely Boys, The Skatalites, Ike Turner, Sister Nancy, Sprung Monkey, Particle, and many others.
Winston's hosts the longest running musical residency in San Diego with the Electric Waste Band, the popular Grateful Dead Tribute band that's been playing every Monday night for over fifteen years.
